WHAT KIND OF SERVICES DO WE OFFER?
We handle the textile development for your products, which means we produce the patterns, muslins, print designs, technical specifications and drawings for your collections in-house. We also recommend textile suppliers for your project.
What sort of product are we developing?
We prefer to develop products aimed at a female or unisex audience. We specialise in loose-fitting garments (i.e. dresses, co-ords, shirts, blouses and trousers) and tailored clothing. However, we have previously worked on the styling of various sportswear and activewear collections, although this is not our speciality.
How many brands have we worked with so far?
We have already worked with around twenty brands, mainly in France. We offer one-off packages or long-term support, depending on your needs.
How does our support work?
We always prioritise our clients’ needs; we first review your brief and send our technical and textile analysis by email. If you are interested in our approach and our report, we will then arrange a video call to discuss your requirements and budget for your project.
Once the schedule for our meetings and the deadline have been confirmed, and the contracts have been signed (NDA, employment contract, licence, etc.), we’ll start working on your project. Each fabric sample will be sent to your address so that you can carry out your own fittings. Digital files will be shared via email or video call.
Do we produce pre-production prototypes?
No. We only deal with the development of your product’s dimensions and design. Our prototypes are made from canvas or a woven fabric similar to the final fabric, they are not intended to validate the final production run, but rather to validate your design.
You should always request a test prototype from your factory to verify the quality and conditions at the chosen factory.
Why develop your product with us rather than directly at the factory?
That’s a very good question! Firstly, without a clear and precise technical dossier or set of specifications, a textile factory won’t take you seriously. A textile factory is there to produce; it’s an executor, and most of the time it doesn’t have the time to develop your collection in depth.
We offer the opposite: we give you the time to plan your product launch as effectively as possible, rather than rushing into it. Competition is fierce in the women’s ready-to-wear market, and with the growth of the second-hand market, your customers will become increasingly hard to win over. Only sound product development underpinned by a clear design vision will set you apart from the competition.
How many products should you start your collection with?
Unless you have an unlimited budget – which I hope you do – we recommend starting your clothing range with no more than two or three classic items and two colour variations to begin with.
Of course, for established brands, it depends on your objectives for this year.
How much will you need to invest if you choose us?
Our quotes are drawn up at the client’s request and tailored to their needs. Our pattern-making services start at €250 per design, and our textile design services start at €350.
